Sandvik Aktiebolag är en global industrikoncern inom verktyg och verktygssystem för skärande metallbearbetning samt maskiner, verktyg, tjänster och tekniska lösningar för gruv- och anläggningsindustrin. Företaget grundades av Göran Fredrik Göransson i Sandviken i Gästrikland, Sverige. Sandvik har cirka 41 anställda (antalet i Sverige var cirka 5) och försäljning i cirka länder. Omsättningen är omkring miljarder kronor ().[1][2][3][4]
Sandvik var det första företaget som kommersialiserade Bessemer-metoden. Den första ånghammaren installerades av en engelsk ingenjör och står idag i en park vid Sandviks anläggning i Sandviken. Koncernens huvudkontor ligger i World Trade Center i Stockholm.[5]
Historik

[redigera | redigera wikitext]Sandvik grundades av konsul Göran Fredrik Göransson.[3][6] Göransson var köpman i Gävle och hade under en affärsresa i England träffat Henry Bessemer och köpt en femtedel av Bessemers patent i Sverige på den nyligen uppfunna bessemerprocessen för stålframställning.[3] I Sverige installerades utrustning för bessemerprocessen vid Edskensmasugn i Gästr

President and Group Executive Management
The President is accountable for Group decision-making in all areas delegated bygd the Board. In beställning to ensure a full Group perspective in these matters, the President has appointed the Group Executive Management as an advisory forum, focusing on how to achieve Group targets, strategies, structure and organization. The Group Executive Management meets each month and its members are accountable for implementing the President’s decisions.
