Hotel Sten Stensson Sten, the grand hotel from , located at Stora Torg has unfortunately fallen a bit into decay. It is considered the nicest building in Eslöv and summertime there are fountains in front of the building. It has Eslöv’s largest nightclub.

Eslöv Municipality (Eslövs kommun) is one of municipalities of Sweden, situated in Skåne County in southern Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Eslöv.
The present municipality was created in , when the former City of Eslöv was amalgamated with a number of surrounding municipalities, most of them created by the earlier nationwide local government reform in
The municipality has several interesting places. There are 11 castles. Hjularöd's castle was the setting of the Swedish TV classic Mystery of Greveholm broadcast by SVT. In the Västra Strö village by the church there is an ancient monument consisting of five standing stones and two runestones DR and DR dating from about the year Sweden's only sugar refinery lies in Örtofta, south of Eslöv. In Eslöv there are two nature reserves, Allmänningen and Abullahagen. The Stone Mountain, Eslöv Church and Hotel Sten Stensson Sten with the locally famous "Scanish Steps" lie in the middle of Eslöv. Eslöv is part of the Öresund Region, and the Malmö Metropolitan Area.
History
[edit]According to a map from , Eslöv village was originally located in the current crossing Västergatan-Remmarlövsvägen.[4]
When the Southern Main Line, already passing through cities such as Stockholm and Malmö, was built through Eslöv the town's growth took off. On 4 October the first trains rolled on the southern main line through Eslöv. On 1 July the railway from Eslöv to Landskrona and Helsingborg (see Rååbanan) was taken into use and on 1 May the railway opened to Ystad. Eslöv had become a significant railroad link, and trade to and from the resort increased significantly.[5] In , Eslöv-Hörby railway opened, which was later extended to Kristianstad. In , the railway Eslöv-Röstånga was taken into use, which was later extended to Klippan.[6]
