    Kortadéria je jednoznačne jednou z najkrajších a najnápadnejších dekoratívnych tráv v záhrade, ktoré sa dajú v našich podmienkach pestovať. Úzke tenké striebristé listy sú v letnom období korunované bohatými a jemnými metlinami kvetov s ružovkastým nádychom. Vysadená ako dominanta v nižšom trávniku, prípadne zakomponovaná do trvalkovej výsadby oživí aj ten najmenej vzhľadný kút záhrady. Pochádza z rozľahlých pampových oblastí južnej až strednej Argentíny, odkiaľ sa dostala kvôli svojmu nápadnému vzhľadu aj do kultúry. Pri výsadbe dbáme na výber slnečného stanoviska a tiež zabezpečíme dokonalú drenáž ktorá je nutná najmä v zimnom období. Vtedy je vhodnejšie trsy zviazať a prekryť nepremokavou tkaninou, pretože rastline škodí zimné premokrenie.
